Ceren Muftuoglu

At first glance, Ceren Muftuoglu’s work appears ordered and architectural: fields of colour and geometry held within carefully constructed systems. Move closer, however, and that precision begins to soften. Individual stitches emerge, subtle shifts in tension become visible and repeated forms reveal the quiet irregularities of the hand.

A London-based Turkish textile artist, Muftuoglu brings together painting, hand stitching and geometric abstraction to explore the relationship between repetition, rhythm and imperfection. Her background in fashion design established an early sensitivity to textiles, pattern and construction, but in her artistic practice these familiar materials are released from their traditional or functional roles. Thread becomes a means of drawing; stitching becomes a way of building surface, movement and depth.

Working from her West London studio, Muftuoglu creates each piece using cotton yarn stitched by hand onto acrylic-painted canvas. The works begin with digitally developed patterns that provide an underlying structure, before being slowly translated through the physical act of stitching. As thread accumulates across the surface, small variations in spacing, direction and density gently disrupt the original geometry, creating tactile, almost relief-like compositions.

It is within this tension between system and variation that the work finds its energy. Precision sits alongside imperfection; digital planning gives way to the individuality of the handmade. From a distance, patterns appear controlled and rhythmic, while closer inspection reveals something more intimate—the trace of time, touch and repetition embedded within every stitch.

Muftuoglu’s work rewards this changing perspective, inviting us to move between order and irregularity, surface and depth, and to discover the subtle beauty that emerges when a perfect system is interpreted by hand.

Jason Young

Jason Young is a New York–based artist whose work explores the meeting point of painting, sculpture, and light. For more than three decades he has pioneered the use of urethane resin and automotive lacquer to create works whose depth is not painted but physically built, transforming the traditional illusion of space into a tangible optical experience. Rooted in classical technique yet unmistakably contemporary, his paintings invite viewers into surfaces that shift with changing light, movement, and perspective.

Jason spent my early years learning to lie convincingly. Trompe-l’œil — the classical trick of making flat paint read as real depth — first in Lacoste, then apprenticed to Yuri Kuper in Normandy. I got good at the illusion of light on a surface.

Resin ended that. Built up in urethane resin and automotive lacquer over acrylic and wood, the depth is no longer a trick — it’s actually there, layer beneath layer, the way light actually sinks into water. Jason Young was among the first painters to explore urethane resin as a fine-art medium, and thirty years on it still does something no pigment can: it holds light instead of describing it.

Most of the work is water at the edge of a day — the moment a sunset breaks apart on a moving surface. From across a room it settles into abstraction. Up close it becomes an optical event, and because the surface reflects, it never sits still — it takes in the room, the light, whoever is standing in front of it.

Katharine Morling

Katharine Morling creates striking ceramic sculptures that blur the boundary between drawing and object. Andy Welland

Kaleidoscopic rainbows collide, prints sing, and pink is everything in the world of Andy Welland. Positioned as a contemporary artist for the next generation, Welland’s work blends vibrant abstraction with a graphic sensibility shaped by his background in design. His practice moves fluidly between painting, sculpture and product collaborations, with projects appearing through retailers and partners including Liberty London, Lush and Co-op Live Arena.

Raised in Doncaster by a trio of creative and influential women—his mother, grandmother and aunt—Welland developed an early appreciation for making and visual culture. He later studied Fine Art at Sheffield Hallam University, graduating in 2007, before working within the luxury division of M&C Saatchi and across boutique design studios in the UK.

This background informs Andy Welland’s distinctive visual language. His energetic compositions are built from colliding shapes, bold colour systems and collage-like forms. Drawing inspiration from childhood imagination, nature and human connection, his work celebrates togetherness, imperfection and the joyful complexity of being human.

Sara Stode Winter

Swedish born, London based artist Sara Stode Winter has spent her working life in steady pursuit of creative fulfilment. With a background in fine art and illustration and many years of professional experience in different creative fields, she has acquired a strong artistic confidence and a unique expression that manifests in her abstract paper sculptures. Taking inspiration from her Scandinavian roots, Sara’s sculptures showcase a refined aesthetic and a considered use of colours and materials which, along with her avant-garde mindset, lends each piece an intriguing air of beauty and wonder.
Control is overrated. Interesting things happen when you surrender to the fact that you never really had any in the first place. Shedding a lifelong quest for perfection and preciseness I am now making art as an exploration of what happens when an open creative mind meets malleable materials.

Sara Stode Winter makes large scale sculptures out of quality Italian crepe paper. “When I came across this beautiful paper I was instantly drawn to the playfulness of its properties. Even now the possibilities still seem endless. To dye and manipulate the paper I use different media and techniques in processes that render each piece truly unique. The sculptures all take shape organically; from initial idea to finished artwork nothing is forced into being. I let the paper lead the way.”
Lately Sara has felt a pressing need to make large sculptures, which makes perfect sense. As the physical manifestations of her unleashed creativity, the pieces that emerge demand scale. No longer getting lost in the details, Sara is finding and claiming her space.

David Burns

David Burns creates ceramic and metal wall art characterised by the elegance of porcelain clay and the forms and craftsmanship of slip casting. He designs wall art for private, corporate or public spaces.

The hand cast porcelain discs are miniature sculptures each with a unique relief and impression which plays with shadow and light. An intensity is created by juxtaposing black porcelain alongside the purity and delicacy of natural porcelain and brighter pink tones. The playful drip line contrasts with the controlled and meticulous grid arrangement of the discs.

Each piece created by David Burns is mounted onto a colour matched aluminium backboard and a black aluminium frame and can be commissioned to the client’s space and environment.

Patricia Mitchell

Patricia Mitchell draws inspiration from experiences gained through her extensive travels and conservation work in Africa, Patricia’s love of nature, botany and global culture and tradition clearly resonates through her work as a mixed media artist.

PAPER: From the magic of a murmuration of starlings; the plight of global deforestation; a myriad of majestic African animals; origami diamonds; sculptured paper fish; origami Japanese slippers to even a colourful selection of bees, dragonflies and beetles – every piece Patricia sculpts from paper comes with a thought provoking narrative.

MESH: The other genre of her portfolio are her signature abstract elephant sculptures made with aluminium mesh,

coated with a mix of 24ct gold and Fools Gold. Her golden elephants can either be seen in family herds or alone, marching along on pieces of ancient drift wood, sourced from the Jurassic coasts of New Zealand. “No other wood will do – drift wood has withstood the test of time, yet it still holds its beauty, strength and power, much like our beloved elephants.”

Rebecca Gouldson

Rebecca Gouldson creates elegant, bespoke metal and enamel wall pieces for private, corporate and public spaces.

The beautifully etched, rich metallic surfaces are created using techniques more traditionally used by printmakers. These expressive, reflective surfaces engage the viewer as they transform with the changing light of the day.

Rebecca draws inspiration from diverse subject matter, including architecture, the rural landscape, and maps. Working closely with her clients, each response to a commission brief involves taking photographs, and making drawings, prints and collages on paper. This imagery is combined, manipulated and then etched in to metal. Layers of processes, including electroplating and chemical patination, are used in innovative sequences, which push the boundaries of metalworking, to create unique objects.

Having established her studio in 2003, Rebecca Gouldson quickly rose to acclaim at first nationally, receiving awards from the Crafts Council and Crafts Magazine, and then internationally, exhibiting in the USA at prestigious shows such as SOFA Chicago and Philadelphia Museum of Art Craft Show. Back in the UK, her work was sold at London and Edinburgh Art Fairs.

Since then, she has been working on projects as diverse as superyachts, board rooms, and luxury jewellery and fashion brands in the US, Japan and the Middle East. In 2014, Rebecca extended her artistic practice to include vitreous enamel, which has extended the potential of her commission work in to architectural facades and outdoor sculptures.

Amy Salisbury

Amy Salisbury is never happier than when she has got paint between her toes…..literally! ‘I guess you could say I’m a converted art conservator and designer who prefers to get her hands dirty.’

She has produced commissioned art which is dotted around hotels, offices and private homes from London to Warsaw. Amy studied at UCL and The Courtauld Institute of Art, and has worked in the arts for over 25 years.

Amy Salisbury’s latest collection is inspired by the BBC series ‘Blue Planet’ and the underwater world and aerial shots of our beautiful world. The free flowing nature of the paints and technique used reflects the natural patterns – uncontrollable and moving to its’ own rhythm.

Different forms of nature can be seen within these paintings – and I hope each viewer will see something new for themselves.

Lizzie Farey

Lizzie Farey’s intricate structures capture a still moment, a distillation and order. Calm after a storm.

Intimate forms provide a hint of the process of creation. We can see and even feel points of tension in the work. Our eye can follow the artist’s hand, the choices made in twisting and turning this flexible medium.

Born in Singapore, for the last 30 years Farey has been based in rural Galloway, in Scotland’s South West. The rural setting of home and studio are her guiding inspiration, her sensitivity with wood revealing an interaction with nature that is deeply personal.

Lizzie Farey grows much of her own pallet of artist’s materials. Planting, tending and harvesting a range of willow which is grown for both texture and colour.

Willow, it’s flow of flex and tension is often manipulated into rhythmic patterns, Artist, willow, form, each unique, reach a perfection as the work comes together, inner creative process and final form working as one.

Martha Winter

Martha Winter was born and grew up in London. Her work is the unusual outcome of many influences. Growing up with minimal art and modern architecture influenced her visual language of reduced and economical form.

Martha is fascinated by systems, repetition and order, often working in series. She has regularly witnessed the extreme erosion of the coastline, which has given her an interest in the natural processes which form the landscape.

Martha Winter has developed her own unique processes, creating pieces reminiscent of satellite imagery and microscopy.

Artful Dodger is widely credited with being one of the first Aerosol Writers/Urban Artists to emerge from the UK, serving as an influence to some of today’s top UK Urban Artists. Over the years, he has evolved professionally to have clients which include the BBC, Channel 4, EA Games, LucasFilm (Star Wars), MTV, The South Bank Show, as well as a well-known breakfast cereal.

On the community arts side of his portfolio, he has a strong background in both organising and facilitating a variety of creative mural projects and workshops. Working mainly in inner cities with disadvantaged youth and other young people (through children’s arts charities such as SP8 Of The Art).

He has also been involved in projects in the US, Italy, France, Spain, Hungary, Romania and Ukraine, as well as all over the UK. One of his projects on the now fallen Aylesbury Estate in SE London, even won an award from the late Princess of Wales.

Employing an eclectic palette of media, ranging from spray-paint and acrylics to pastels and graphics tablets, he takes the inspiration for his paintings from the intrinsic beauty of nature, as well as a vast range of musical styles, urban and pop culture influences. Along with this, he describes his work as being a combination of ‘liquid light’ and ‘visual music’.

Stella Corrall is currently producing a suspended work for Huddersfield University’s new Art, Design & Architecture ‘Barbara Hepworth’ building using our bespoke recycled polycarbonate balanced with unique profiles housing LEDs.

Julia Brooker

Julia Brooker paints on aluminium because she was seduced by the way it reflects light off its metal surface through veils of transparent colour. She revels in the sumptuousness of paint as it sits on the cool surface and is driven in the attempt to make beautiful paintings.

Some of her paintings have the instant appeal of vivid jewel like colours. Others are more subtle and layer veils of sepia, black, white and grey. Increasingly she combines drawing with painting to make multi layered paintings.

‘When the viewer gets close I hope they will enjoy the tiny accidental droplets that fall, the ‘hand-made-ness’ of the paintings. Closeness should offer up more, a desire to touch the surface, a stillness.’

Julia Brooker studied ceramics before she became a painter. Those luscious crystalline glazed surfaces like cake icing on coarse clay, and her love of gorgeous textiles are both reflected in the surface qualities of her paintings. She finds ways to weave layers of paint and textures together. Julia is always pleased by the way people want to touch her paintings to see how they feel.

Alberto Fusco

Alberto Fusco creates wall panels made up with folded and manipulated paper. The intricately folded paper is transformed into textural geometrical forms becoming sculptural pieces in their own right.

In recent years his work has developed and is widely exhibited and is included in several corporate collections.

His work is often displayed behind a perspex cover to protect the artwork from damage and the ingress of dust. This also gives the artwork a jewel like property.

Alberto Fusco now concentrates on site specific commissions for both corporate and private collections.

Michelle House

Michelle House is an abstract artist with over 20 year’s experience creating unique textile artworks and digital art prints. Her inspiration comes from the patterns and geometry within architecture. As well as the physical mixing and layering of colours, the texture of cloth and the print process.

Michelle House moved from painting and collage on paper to applying the same approach with textiles. Taking photographs and making drawings, she then edits and designs on a computer, before transferring her photographic images to silkscreens.

Michelle uses screens in conjunction with hand-cut stencils as a palette from which to select and build up her final composition. Using imagery and colour in an abstract way to create focal points, balance and space.

The dye’s and pigments, in combinations of transparent and opaque layers, are screen-printed and painted on to differently textured fabrics, which are then meticulously sewn together to make a single piece, or series of related works.

Zac Greening

Zac Greening draws his inspiration principally from nature – ‘the ultimate sculptress’. He finds the sculptural forms created by the sun, moon, waves and trees particularly inspiring as symbols of sustainability.

He works in a wide range of media from discarded plastic bottles to organic matter. Often these materials are fused together to reinforce the aesthetic or narrative that he’s looking to express.

A narrative is created that highlights the relationship between man and the natural environment.

Common themes found in his work often abstractly express or make a comment on current issues. Issues such as sustainability, environmental degradation, or consumption. Alternatively they may simply be an expression of the marvel and awe he sees in a sunset or the kinetic and meditative experience found in the rolling of sea waves.

Zac Greening communicates and reminds the viewer of mankind’s inextricable socio-economic and spiritual link with the natural world

Jonet Harley-Peters

Jonet Harley-Peters takes the natural world as her starting point. She interpret the effects of light on plants water and earth. As well as the shapes and shadows that float on the surface of fragile and changing nature.

‘I’ve always been drawn to symmetry and pattern and first started to explore geometry and proportion in my last year at Art school. Part of my childhood was spent in East Africa and the rest on the edge of Dartmoor. Africa gave me colour, pattern and red earth – while Dartmoor was full of mood, mist and water.’

Jonet works with basic geometry using raw pigments and photography to make low relief constructions and photo-montage. Her work is based on what I see in the natural world.

‘I take photographs and cut shapes to produce fragments and then take what I need to reconstruct to make a new ‘version’ and tell a new story. I am currently using triangles but my response varies due to the demands of the material.’

Raw pigments have an intensity of colour and photo-montage shows the extraordinary detail and texture of the natural world. Simple geometric patterns provide a solid structure on which to base explorations with colour and image.

Jonet Harley-Peters works mainly in low relief construction with curved and cut shapes backed with heavy weight paper and cardboard , when mounted the constructed shapes appear to float away from the surface. All the work is box framed .

Thurle Wright

Thurle Wright works with books, maps and words on paper.

Her delicate paper reconstructions stem from an interest in the systems and structures of language. As well as the ordering of knowledge and the collecting, storing and accessing of words.

She cuts, folds, weaves and stitches lines of words into a new visual format. Traces of the original mingle with personal, often playful or poetic interpretations.

Originally from Zimbabwe, Thurle works from her studio in Folkestone’s Creative Quarter.

She has exhibited widely both in the UK and internationally, including Collect2019 at the Saatchi Gallery, the Bookarts Triennial in Lithuania, Deptford X, and Brussels Art on Paper.

Numerous residencies include work for the V&A Museum of Childhood, Perth Central School of Art and Design, Camberwell Arts and various schools and colleges in the UK.

Her work is held public and private collections including Brisbane State Library

Dominic Pote

Dominic Pote is an artist working somewhere between the film maker and the still photographer. His exposures lasting as long as he keeps moving. Framed by the physical act of walking, his images are both literal and metaphorical journeys. Movements through space so that there remains something of the organic feel of their making. His work reveals the underlying spiritual significance of place. Whether an open landscape or the middle of a city, he presents us with the human experience. That which lies between movement and stillness, between the visible and invisible, between time and eternity.

Dominic Pote studied Photography at Nottingham Trent University from 1997 – 2000 where he attained a 1st class honours degree in Photography in Europe. During his second year his study was divided between two European institutes: Die Hochschule fur Grafik und Buchkunst – Leipzig, Germany and Famu School of film and photography, Prague, Czech Republic

Dominic’s large-scale works have been placed in many private homes as well as public and private collections. Commissioners of his work include Barclays Bank, The British Council and P&O.

Chris Wood

Chris Wood’s medium is light. She uses a range of high and low-tech optical materials to harness patterns of light that suggest ephemeral glimpsed moments in the natural world.

Her sculptures are simple arrangements creating kinetic patterns in response to the environments in which they are placed. Her work brings a wistful romanticism to a minimalist aesthetic. Chris Wood orders the accidental and makes us reflect on the experience of seeing.

After studying Furniture Design at Middlesex University in the mid 1980s. She then went on to study glass at the Royal College of Art, where she worked on architectural scale projects dealing with light and space.

Chris Wood produces innovative installations for gallery exhibition. She has shown extensively throughout the UK and internationally. Her work is represented in a number of private collections as well as the Shanghai Museum of Glass.

She also produces work to commission and has created works for Fendi Fashion House, Great Ormond Street Hospital, Premier Inn Hotel and a Scandinavian cruise ship. Chris is currently working on her largest project to date in Taiwan.

Claire Burke

Claire Burke’s current work is the culmination of 20 years dedication to making beautiful abstract statements. Meditative, tranquil compositions playing with the picture plane with the suggestion of a horizon and landscape. Two textured surfaces juxtaposed, the subtle differences between them emphasised by their apparent simplicity, the work revealing itself to be deceptively detailed upon more prolonged examination. The work is fashioned from Gold and Silver Leaf. The timeless nature of the precious metals and the fascination they hold, adding to the works allure.

A truly international artist, Claire’s work has been sourced for clients both private and corporate. Examples include a gorgeous private ski chalet, The Four Seasons Royal Suite in Riyadh, the cruise ship Brittania, private yachts and of course many beautiful homes. Kleinwort Benson has acquired a significant work for their collection.

Claire graduated from Falmouth School of Art for her foundation, progressed immediately to Central St. Martins to complete her BA(Hons) Painting in 1994 and has never looked back.

Unusually by today’s standards, Claire’s degree show sold out and she was able to continue her career as soon as she graduated. Some of those early relationships with Galleries and Dealers still exist today.

Claire’s work has been exhibited on a global scale in Miami, New York, Switzerland, Singapore and Hong Kong. Claire continues to work with a broad network within the art sector, including interior designers, galleries and consultants.

Much of Claire’s work is now acquired by commission from her purpose built studio and her new works are in high demand.

Mark Beattie MRSS

Mark Beattie MRSS is a British award winning sculptor who lives and works in London.

In 2015, Mark won the Midlands Open, The Xerxes Sculpture Prize and was elected a Member of The Royal Society of Sculptors (MRSS). In 2017 Mark was shortlisted for the Open Contemporary Young Artist Award run by the Biscuit Factory Gallery in Newcastle and long-listed for The Secret Art Prize by Curious Duke Gallery and also for the international Rise Art Prize.

Working with various metals in all their contrasting properties of texture and finish, Mark can make industrial materials appear fluid, malleable and delicate. He continues to study different metals, looking at ways to manipulate and add movement to the material.

Over the past 3 years Mark has been developing ways in which neon and LED’s can complement his sculptures, adding to the movement of a piece and catching the viewer’s eye.

Mark has a strong academic background in art, having studied a BA Hons (International) in Contemporary Art Practice at Leeds University, with a period at the Australian National University at Canberra, and after an MA in European Arts Practice at Kingston University, Surrey. To date he has now exhibited in over 60 exhibitions, solo and group and has a strong following from collectors both in the UK and abroad.
