Art Curation, Procurement and Installation by Art Contact

Art Contact was commissioned by an International Investment Bank to curate artworks for their recently refurbished offices following a successful tender submission.

The project began with a comprehensive survey of existing artworks to assess their suitability for inclusion in the new scheme. Budgets, curatorial objectives, and suitable locations for the artworks were agreed in consultation with the client.

A structured selection process was established in collaboration with a 15-person selection committee comprising representatives from each department. Digital portfolios were prepared for each floor and presented to the committee in person. Departmental proposals were then circulated internally, allowing staff to score the proposed artworks. These scores were reviewed and consolidated by Art Contact to produce a refined selection, which was presented for final agreement. The entire process was managed efficiently, requiring only a few presentations to reach a final decision.

Once the selection was approved by the International Investment Bank, Art Contact oversaw the procurement and framing of all artworks. Wherever possible, pieces were acquired directly from the artists. Framing was completed by Art Contact’s trusted framers to ensure a consistent aesthetic and the highest quality standards.

After preparation, the artworks were organized by floor and consolidated at the installer’s warehouse in readiness for delivery. Detailed installation plans were produced to guide the installation team precisely. Delivery and installation took place over two weekends to minimize disruption to office operations.

Following installation, the client conducted a final review and expressed great satisfaction with both the outcome and the smooth execution of the project, which was completed on time, on budget, and with minimal disruption.
